Interview with Angela Marino:
After the 2014 June long weekend Trevor Castle sat down Angela Marino and recorded an interview. Angela is the highest achieving basketballer from Whyalla, having started her career in Whyalla as a 4 year old and playing through to Under 16s ( as well as playing in the A grade competition) she went on to represent her country (NZ) at two Olympic games and a Commonwealth games as well as playing many years in the WNBL.
Rather than talk about global warming or the benefits of banana's in the diet, they spoke instead about Angela's basketball career.
In this first part of the interview Angela talk about the early years. Playing for Bevan, for Whyalla Steelers and then commuting to Adelaide to play for Sturt in district competition.
