1972 – WITSS

WITSS– Was an acronym for Whyalla Institute of Technology Staff and Students. They entered the competition with a number of teams in the 70’s. Witts was a generally social basketball club competing in the lower grades. Their 1st premiership was in Men’s B grade in 1974 were they Defeated Borowa another school teacher based club.

WITTS wore Navy Blue singlet with W.I.T.T.S across the chest in yellow. They wore black footy shorts.

Trevor Pickert, Allan Castle, Paul Broadbent, Paul Grace, Colin Hall, Brenton Stutley.

LATTER DAY SAINTS (L.D.S)–In 1955 the Mormons basketball club became one of the WBA’s founding clubs.

POSTALS – Are one of the founding clubs of the WBA. They started as a group of workers from the South Australian Postal Institute.
